![]() 'Sort by Name also works in your Start, Programs listing too. Could be your Java icon is hiding out at the bottom of the list and is just out of sight. So Java upgrade is successfully installed. When looking at your Control Panel list of things, right click one of the icons and choose Sort by Name to reorder the Control Panel listing alphabetically. Press Check Now – If new Java version is available installation will start: Launch Check For Updates – this will open Java Control Panel on Update tab: One more possible option is to download and install a new version of Java from scratch. Since the 9th version, Java Control Panel was deprecated and in the 11th it was completely removed. Just install Windows updates from time to time and your Java version will be actual. As is usual with Oracle, the update fixes. It’s recommended to use Windows 10 auto-update mechanism to update Java. I used the Java control panel to update since Edge is disabled on my machine.
